About the role
As a Tech Leader you’ll be in charge of promoting growth amongst the development team by directly mentoring and connecting individuals with the resources they need, assisting with scheduling and road mapping work, track utilization, facilitating the movement of resources and promoting interdepartmental learning by helping others understand what developers do and how they do it.
You’ll be the to-go person for all front end questions and out of the box solutions, not to solve the problems, but to help coach problem solving

Someone who support team members to develop and follow a professional development growth
Continually work to improve team processes, capabilities and output
Monitor and review individual team member's performance on an ongoing basis
Knowledge share, mentor peers and colleagues to uplift technical ability within the team
Skills
Significant experience managing developers and development teams, preferably working on production e-commerce code
Orchestrated team-wide processes/best-practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Well-versed in modular web development architecture and best-practices—has architected full-stack software solutions
Experience writing technical specifications and instructions
Experience with recruiting and interviewing diverse technical talent
Experience with version control and Git flows
Experience working within agile environments, including Scrum / Kanba
Knowledge of Slack’s software (Non-exclusive)
Deep knowledge of web performance best-practice, accessibility, and technical SEO
Keen to share your knowledge with the rest of the development and management teams
A willingness to improve your skills, and keep up to date with technological / Shopify specific news
